Graignamanagh 1-12 Danesfort 1-9

In a very wet and blustery  afternoon which was more fit for the high stool than playing or watching the beautuful game Graignamanagh came out on top in very entertaining game of hurling in a beautifully prepared Thomastown this afternoon.Playing against the elements We got the better start and lead 4-1 after 15mins but a goal from one of tommorrows stars "richie" and the loss of our midfielder Brendan foley gave Danesfort a 1-4 0-5 half time lead. Our oppnents started the second half better than us and increased tthere lead to 4pts ,but to to fair to our players they never gave up and a Padraig Whelan goal 5 mins from the end ensured a hard earned win against opponents who will feel that they had taken all there oppurtunities that they would be in th quarter final and not us, but such is sport and were in and Hard luck to Danesfort who are out.
