The first JHL match of 2013 got underway in pristine conditions in Harristown on Saturday evening. Much credit must go to the hard working field committee who pulled out all the stops to have the whole place looking spic  & span. Well done to the hurlers in particular who put in a very solid performance to bag the first points of the new year. Graig led by 1-05 to 0-04 at the break. Brendan Foley 0-01, James Meaney 0-03, Padraig Whelan 1-00 & Eddie Walsh 0-01. We didn't let up after the break as we went on to score another 2-07. Eddie Walsh 1-03, Lee Kinsella 1-00, Sean O'Brien 0-01, Eddie Dowling 0-01 & Adam Kennedy 0-01. As usual the backs put in a solid hours work, we had 8 different names on the score board, James Meaney gave a powerful display in Mid field. We must go on to build on this performance as our next opponents will no doubt be another step up.
Well done to the ladies for the tea and refreshments, also to Colette & Eimear for the shop and to the girls for selling the lines.
