Hurlers turn on the style to save their Intermediate status in relegation final replay.

The proud hurlers of Graignamanagh had a convincing win over Thomastown in the replay of the relegation final at sunny Gowran at the weekend. They learned their lesson from the drawn game and fought it out to the bitter end. It was a joy to watch 3-4 Graignamanagh players track down every Thomastown attack even when we were 8 or 9 points up. This showed the pride they have in the Jersey and appreciation for the large crowd of supporters who turned up in Gowran.  A special word of thanks from the players and the Committee to our main Sponsor, Michael Doran, Super Valu. This win lifted the Spirits in the Town and surrounding areas and it was a badly needed lift. See full match report and pictures in The Kilkenny People.

Graignamanagh 1-15  Thomastown 1-06
