Mullinavat 3-12   Graignamanagh 2-13
In a thrilling encounter Mulinavat produced a storming finish to run out winners in what proved to be a cracking game of hurling. In a match which can only be described as a game of two halves Graignamanagh sprinted out of the blocks hurling into a strong wind and quickly started racking up the scores with a great goal from the ageless Michael Dunne followed by some great points from Jamie McGrath who notched up 0-6, Padraig Whelan 0-2 and a goal from Dane Mangan to storm into a 2-8 to 0-3 lead after twenty minutes, but what ensued lead to the Graig mens downfall as they completely took their foot off the gas and concede some sloppy scores to lead 2-08 to 1-06 at the break The end of the first half proved to be a fair indication of what turned out to be a disastrous second half as a number of defensive howlers saw Mullinavat  score what can only be called soft goals of the extreme variety, at this stage the heads were down and the game slipped away without a whimper from the losers who let an excellent opportunity slip through their hands after an exhibition of hurling in a glorious opening twenty minutes with the game finishing on a scoreline of 2-13 to 3-12.  Graig's points coming from Padraig Whelan (2), Jamie McGrath (1), Dane Mangan (1) Nicholas O'Donnell (1)
