Great win for the Clubs Junior team over Freshford tonight in the final of the Joe walsh Cup on a scoreline of 3-14, 1-12.It was a titanic struggle for the whole hour and we surely deserved  to come out on top.First half goals from Seamus Kavanagh and the up and coming star Nicky Moylan gave us a 8pt cushion at half time. However the second half was a different story when the northerners opened with a goal and a point ,but we did not panic and some shrewd moves from the line made all the difference, and  when 54 year old substitue John Birdie Caroll hammered home a sideline to the next it was show over and the Joe Walsh cup was on its way to the Valley of the monks for a second time.Well done  to all involved with this team..Also The thomastown club should get a mention for the condition of their facilties, once again this made the game a joy for all.

More action and post match celebrations!
