Congratulations to the U14 hurlers who last weekend added the league title to the championship title won two weeks earlier.  Another very exciting game in which The Fenians took an early lead and at one stage led by six points, scoring 2-03 to a solitary goal from Michael Coady. Graig then started to pick off some scores and slowly ground down The Fenians lead. Patrick Dowling and Ciarán O’Brien found The Fenians net and Ryan O’Halloran who was hurling brilliantly struck over three points.  James Doyle who really came into his own at mid-field also added a point. The Fenians tacked on another five points to leave the half-time score with Graig trailing by just one point. 3-04 to 2-08.

Graig really took control in the second half out scoring their opponents by 2-09 to –01.  Ciarán O’Brien added to his tally scoring another 1-02. Michael Bolger, the other lively corner forward who replaced James McCabe also rattled The Fenians net. A Brace of points from the Graig boys Ryan O’Halloran 3, Michael Coady 1, Adam Kennedy 2 and Adam Canning 1 sealed the victory.  Sean Cahill made a few fine saves in goal and the six backs, Stephen Browne, James Meaney, Jack Conran, Adam Kennedy, Peter Kavanagh and Jordan Brett erected a solid wall against The Fenians attack especially in the 2nd half limiting them to a single point.  Brandon Fenlon and James Doyle hurled strong at mid-field. The forwards Patrick Dowling, Adam Canning, Ryan O’Halloran, Ciarán O’Brien, Michael Coady and Michael Bolger all left their mark on the scoreboard. The other subs Dylan Conran, Liam Hearne, Gerard Hennessy and Jamie Dunne all played well when introduced, Sean Dowling and Ciarán Manning(Injured).

Thank you to Catherine and Pat Doyle for sponsoring crisps and drinks for the boys.
